Memories: July 2009

It's mid July. This time around, last year i was in London.

LONDON ya'll!

OK, i know i sound so jakun. But i can't help it. That's the first time EVER in my life i've been to London. And Paris. So please understand my jakun-ness, people.

i went with Mr. Chenta (hehe who else). Tapi bukan ber-honeymoon or memadu kasih yea. Coincidently BOTH of our bestfriends were there. Shaq and Faiz. It's crazy betapa kebetulannya kawan baik kami dua-dua berada di sana at the same time. The best part is both of them didn't even know each other. i think Mr. Chenta and i were meant to be. Sebab kawan-kawan kami dua-dua di sana. Rumah diorg dekat-dekat lak tu. Meant to be tak?? Okay, aku merepek.

So anyway, memandangkan adanya mereka disana, kami pon mengambil kesempatan untuk melawat. i missed Shaq like crazy. She was gone for a year. Her absence was so felt. Best kan dapat kawan macam saya? Sanggup terbang halfway around the world to see her bestfriend. *Clap*Clap* Another reason is that we got free accomodation for 2 weeks, thanks to these 2 people. Kalo duduk hotel/hostel memang sampai ke sudahla aku tak merasa ke London.

Anyway, this is how my itenerary look like:

July 3, 2009:        Depart from KLIA to Heathrow on a 10am MAS flight
July 8, 2009:        Depart from St. Pancreas, London to Gare du Nord, Paris
July 9, 2009:        Back to London! (Gare du Nord-St. Pancreas)
July11, 2009:       Roadtrip to Manchester and Liverpool!
July 12, 2009:      Roadtrip to Bath and Wiltshire (to see the Stonehenge!)
July 13-16, 2009: London!
July 16, 2009:      Depart from Heathrow to KLIA.

i'll elaborate more about my experience on the next posts.

Warning: Saya akan membebel panjang pasal trip itu. Ini adalah kerana trip itu sudah setahun berlalu dan saya mula ingat-ingat lupa tentangnya. i need to write it down before i completely forget.

Thursday Thoughts

1. It'd be nice if i can have my own office. Like the GM's office. With nice view, sophisticated interior, and if i'm lucky a 49" flat screen TV (ape ko hengat ni opis bapak ko?)

2. The kopi-0 kaw kaw that i made doesnt seem to have effects on me anymore.

3. Loads of my friends are getting/just got married. i can't help but wonder "When is my turn???"

4. And some of them are pregnant/have cute lil' babies. i cant help imagining what it's like to have my own kids.

5. Today is the last day in the office for those who have been offered VSS (the company calls it CTO).Though i'm not one of them (alhamdulillah), i feel deeply sad to know that (at least) 4 of them are my friends. Friends, be strong. Rezeki Allah ada dimana-mana. Mane tau rezeki korang lagi murah ditempat lain. Semoga dipermudahkan segala urusan kamu. Amin.

6. Buruk nye la baju aku harini.

7. Petang ni ade kelas RPM at the gym. (RPM is spinning class where we cycle for non stop for one freaking hour! Seriously tiring but i feel good afterwards. Baru gi 2 kali huhu)

8. Sangat mengidam nak makan gado-gado Wong Solo!

9. i'll try to blog dengan bernas when i'm free :)

Introducing Veraciouz!

People, let me introduce you to a new Malaysian indie band, VERACIOUZ.

They have only one single so far, and are working on new songs. Feel free to listen to their first single titled Musnah.

Musnah has been played by a couple of radio channels for a few times.

The band is made of 4 young men from various background and professions, with one thing in common - their love for music. This is their first attempt to make it into Malaysian music scene.

Yes, as a new band, they have a lot to improve. This song needs re-recording. But i know i'm gonna love and support this band. Because you know why? i love their song, the band members are my friends. And my very own Mr. Chenta is the lead guitarist. Hehe.

Weekend Escapade

i've been moaning and whining and complaining a lot lately on how jaded and tired i was with work. i needed a holiday. i needed a rest. i needed the beach.

And yes, a holiday by the beach is what i got *big, fat, toothy grin*

On Friday morning (1.30 am to be exact), the 11 of us started making our way to Redang Island.

Tak pasal-pasal jakun kan? :p

Last time i went to Krabi with my girlfriends (all about it in this post), this time i tagged along with Mr. Chenta and his friends. There were 8 guys and 3 of us girls.

We started driving at 1.30am Friday morning and reached there at about 8am. i was afraid to get a nap because i just can't let Mr. Chenta drive alone. Kene teman dier berborak dan berkaraoke dalam kete. Kang tertido kang masuk gaung lak kete. Nauzubillah! But alhamdulillah we got to Merang jetty safe and sound, all 3 cars.

 i was hungry all the way. Atas jalan tar pon selambe je makan! Ade aku kesah?

The boat ride from Merang jetty to Redang Island takes about 1 hour. We took this oppurtunity to take a nap.

We chose Redang Bay Resort for accommodation. It comes with a package that costs us RM350 per pax. This package includes boat transfer, 2 nights stay at family room (comes with a single bed, a queen bed, and a double decker bed for 3 pax), meals for 3 days, and 3 snorkeling trips. The resort has a canteen, badminton court, basketball court, playground, and swimming pool. But who needs swimming pool when you have the beach??

Sesampainya kami di Redang, berkobar-kobar nak start snorkeling trip at 2.30pm (as scheduled). Tapi last-last semua tido tak hengat dunia. Memang mampos tak larat after one whole night of driving. Petang tu baru lah keluar membuat acara snorkeling sendiri di tepian pantai.

There are not much activities can be done in night time, unless you are into bars and clubbing. Untuk insan-insan seperti kami ni, kami lepak main kad, jalan-jalan tepi pantai, amek gamba banyak-banyak, and tengok World Cup sket-sket.

On Sunday, we checked out at 9.30am and took the 11.30am boat back to Merang Jetty. Singgah makan tengahari kat Kemaman. Time tu dah kol 4pm. Sumpah laparrrrr! Singgah kat warung Aziz Satar. Nasib baik satar and otok-otok dier sedap. Alhamdulillah.

Dalam kete juga harus cam-whore!

Bukan Aziz Satar pelakon tu yea. Ni warong Pak Aziz jual satar. 

Satar dier memang TERBAEKKKKKK o0o0o0whh!

Okeyh.. Itu sahaja lah adventure saya pada episod ini. Pulau Redang memang cantik. Tapi coral dier kurang variety. Ikan nemo pon takde. Sobseb. Oo0o0ohhh.. Tapi saya nampak ikan todak mase snorkeling kat marine park. Cantik jugak diorg. i wish i could be a MERMAID!

Rain and Sunshine

i was alone. Waiting for my friend.


It was a sunny, gorgeous afternoon. Surrounding people seemed to enjoy the good weather. Even the birds are singing beautiful songs. i myself was immersed with joy, seeing this beautiful moment was enough ti make me happy.


Suddenly it rained.


Calmness of the people disappeared, replaced by a sense of dread and rush. Pretty birds fleet for shelter. Gone was the beautiful golden sunshine, all around were now fat drops of rain. i see plans changed, good spirit vanished.


This little nature change somehow makes me feel all touchy and emotional inside. It reminds me that life can be all sunny, perfect and beautiful at one time. Then without a warning, the perfect life turns upside down. Leaving us in pain and agony. It reminds me that nothing lasts forever.


Allah is great. He is fair.


Alhamdulillah for this beautiful life that i am blessed with.

Current Read

i'm a self-proclaimed bookworm.

Not really self-proclaimed la. People dear to me know that i love to read. When i was little my Grandma used to membebel because i spent berpuluh-puluh ringgit buying books and magazine. Sweet Valley, Disney, R.L Stine thrillers, Nancy Drew, fairy tales books, and magazines like Top of The Pop and TV Hits. Papa pulak memang tak kedekut berbelanja buku. He'll generously give me money for books. Kalau nak beli mainan, sampai esok menangis pon tak tentu dapat!

Growing up, my book genre transformed to chic lit and i like magazines like Cleo, Cosmopolitan and Glamour. i have to have a book to read all the time. Being a bimbo that i am, i LOVE chic lit books. All those women with good career/hot crushes/designer clothes makes me high. i can finish a 300-pages book in one night (if the book is gooooddd). Sorry, not to brag. Just describing my love for books.

Anyway, lately i don't read that much. i feel bad about this. Like i'm cheating on books or something. It's just that i've been busy and i can't really find an attractive-enough book. Takde buku yang dirasakan sangat sangat best sampai buat aku tak tido malam.

So i made an effort to read. And this time i try to steer away from chic lit and read more grown up books.

If It's Worth Having It's Worth Fighting For

Let me ask you people… Is there any relationship where two people never fight? Never mind what that relationship is (friends, hubby n’ wifey, siblings, bf-gf), I believe a fight (if not fightSSSS) will always present.

Tipu la kan kalau dah kenal bertahun, berbulan, berhari even, tapi tak penah bergaduh/terasa/merajuk langsung.

I admit I had a fight/merajuk session with even my best friend (ahem, Shaq *cough*). What I love most about our fight is that we were VERY vocal about our ke-tidak-puashatian, yell at one another there and then, get our issue/s resolved, then the anger vanished like thin air, and we kiss and make up and apologize endlessly on the spot. Lepas tu sambung gelak-gelak/shopping/makan/gossip. We girls and our PMSes. Pschfttttt..

Fights with brothers lagi lah tidak terkira. Pernah bergaduh dengan Faizal sampai aku telah menggigit tangannya sampai berdarah. Kalau bergaduh dengan Redha lagi la. Segala perkataan “Bodoh, bangang, giler, cacat” keluar dari mulut kami.. Heh, itu mase kecik. Sekarang saya sudah bersopan lagi ayu tanak la geget-geget dah. Maki-memaki pon sudah kurang. Now we fight mainly for TV remote control and the car. And who gets the chicken drumstick.

In a lurvey-dovey relationship, fighting is VERY essential. It shows that these two people have their own mind and not afraid to speak up about what they believe in. Tidak la menjadi Pak/Mak Turut dalam segala hal. Through these fights, we can know our partner better. His likes/dislikes, his way, his preferences. Besides, a relationship will get VERY boring if the couple does not have any argument. Sepanjang masa ok je, tak argue, tak merajuk. Tidak bergaduh/merajuk, maka tiadalah adegan pujuk memujuk kan? Tak sweet lah kan? How boring! 

i observed that Mr. Chenta and i always fight when i'm having or about to have my period (even though not every month la). Hehe. See, it's not really my fault. Blame the hormones!

Walaupun pergaduhan dan rajuk-merajuk adalah penting, jangan lah sampai putus kawan, putus sedara, dan break up pulak yea.. Yes, healthy arguments are important but being patient is much more important than that. Dan bergaduh pon jangan lah sampai pukul-memukul dan dera-mendera. Itu bukan healthy arguments namenye!  

Let it out, it's better than memakan hati selama bertahun-tahun.

(Err.. but if possible, don't scream and shout like this la. Hodoh benar rupenyer)

Weekend Bliss

Heyho!

Sudah bersawang blog ini. Busy-ness kept me away from the World Wide Web. Sampai terlupa saya punya blog :D

Anyway, i was involved in KKP 2010 as part of the performance team. Had intense training for two weeks, weekends included. Itu belum termasuk the after work training sebelum intense 2 weeks training ni. Sebulan jugak la berpulun. Otot-otot di kaki sudah terasa kepejalannya.. Siapa kata menari tak penat? "p

i'll tell more about KKP in the next post.

But yea, the training got me exhausted. So i spent the weekend sleeping til 11am, wake up for lunch, basuh baju, and continue napping from 2pm til 5pm. Ahhhh... Complete bliss! Sudah tidak peduli bilik bersepah. All i know is that i need to sleep.

Anyway, i'm gonna watch Toy Story 3 after this. So many great movies nowadays. Summer is the season for good movies!
